近ごろ、美術作家の山岡敏明と画家のしまだそうが互いの絵を交互に上描きし、個人の想像を超えた表現を模索しています。
互いの筆跡を重ねる連鎖を通じて一人では到達し得ない必然の帰結としての新たな絵画の姿を追求する為にどうにかこうにかそれしています。
Recently, the artist Toshiaki Yamaoka and the painter Soga Shimada have been taking turns painting over each other's works, exploring forms of expression that go beyond the imagination of any one individual.
Through a continuing chain of layered brushstrokes, they are somehow managing to do all this in pursuit of a new form of painting—one that emerges as the inevitable result of their interaction and could never be reached by either artist alone.
